Wassabi Group provided senior leadership for the technical design stream supporting the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 Final Business Case. The role brought together multidisciplinary engineering advice, environmental assessment inputs, site investigations, option development and technical strategy across a complex urban transport corridor. We coordinated specialist teams, clarified interfaces and requirements, and helped ensure technical work remained aligned with customer outcomes, planning objectives, cost, risk and delivery considerations. Transport for NSW REZ Program Readiness and Capacity Planning

Wassabi Group supports Transport for NSW in preparing the road and transport network for development of the Central-West Orana, South West and New England Renewable Energy Zones. The engagement integrates transport planning, freight logistics, oversize overmass vehicle assessments, route and network capacity analysis, stakeholder engagement, governance and implementation planning. Our team helps identify constraints affecting the movement of wind turbine components, transformers and other large equipment, while coordinating priorities across government, industry, councils and energy infrastructure stakeholders. The work translates complex technical, operational and program information into practical readiness actions, investment priorities and delivery pathways. P0009 National Airfields Works

Wassabi Group provided planning-phase Project Director leadership and project management and contract administration support for the P0009 National Airfields Works at RAAF Base Darwin and Mount Bundey Airfield. The engagement covered development of the business case, coordination of parliamentary approval requirements, procurement planning and staged design management for operationally important Defence aviation infrastructure. We worked across client, consultant, contractor and stakeholder interfaces to maintain alignment between scope, technical requirements, approvals, cost, risk, schedule and delivery strategy. Our practical governance and decision support helped progress the works through critical planning and design stages while responding to the security, operational continuity and assurance requirements of the Defence environment. The assignment demonstrates Wassabi Group’s ability to lead complex programs where technical coordination, disciplined documentation and timely approvals are essential to successful delivery.
Camellia-Rosehill Priority Growth Area

Wassabi Group provided engineering technical advisory support for planning of the Camellia-Rosehill Priority Growth Area, a strategically important precinct requiring careful integration of land use, infrastructure, flooding and development considerations. Our role supported the preparation and review of key technical deliverables, including precinct grading, flood modelling and rezoning design ahead of public exhibition. We helped coordinate engineering inputs, test assumptions and identify interfaces between proposed development, existing infrastructure, environmental constraints and future servicing needs. By translating complex technical information into clear planning advice, the team supported a more robust and implementable precinct framework. Bankstown Airport Falcon Air Hangar

Wassabi Group provided engineering and aviation advisory support to the project management team delivering the Falcon Air Hangar project at Bankstown Airport. The engagement required an understanding of aviation operations, airside interfaces, engineering coordination and the practical constraints associated with developing new facilities in an active airport environment. We supported the review of technical matters, coordination of specialist advice and resolution of issues affecting planning and delivery. The engagement focused particularly on preparing and coordinating material required to support parliamentary approval, while maintaining alignment between the proposed works, Defence capability needs, project scope, cost, risk and delivery planning. We helped structure complex technical and program information into clear, decision-ready documentation and supported the coordination of inputs from multiple disciplines and stakeholders. Our role required careful attention to governance, assurance, approval pathways and the standards expected for Commonwealth infrastructure investment. Wolgan Road Reconstruction Project

Wassabi Group provided full project management and Project Director leadership for the Wolgan Road Reconstruction Project, one of the largest and most complex disaster recovery initiatives undertaken by a regional NSW council. Following landslides and rockfall that severed reliable access to the Wolgan Valley, our team led the funding application, project governance, technical advisor coordination, options assessment, risk and cost planning, procurement strategy and stakeholder engagement. A key outcome was the successful approval of a $359 million, funded through the joint Commonwealth–NSW Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements. This landmark approval provided the pathway to restore a critical community and economic lifeline. Wassabi Group also progressed interim access planning and permanent reconstruction options, balancing safety, resilience, environmental and Aboriginal heritage considerations, constructability, value for money and community needs.

Infrastructure South Australia Assurance Reviews

The proposed multibillion-dollar rapid transit investment required the integration of transport planning, engineering, operations, maintenance, urban outcomes and long-term network performance into a credible investment proposition.
